This Privacy Policy describes how Orame ("we", "us") handles your information when you use vitutor, our learning app for browsing lessons, watching course videos, and chatting with an AI tutor.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and optional avatar image.
Learning activity. To power the features of the app we store your watch history, likes, saved lessons, subscriptions to creators, and playback progress.
Tutor chat messages. When you use the lesson chat, the messages you send are stored with your account so you can revisit conversations, and are processed by an AI service provider to generate responses.
Device and diagnostic data. We collect basic diagnostic information (such as app version, device model, and crash logs) to keep the app reliable. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or photos.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the app (e.g. resume playback, show your saved lessons).
- Generate AI tutor responses to your questions about a lesson.
- Maintain the security of your account and our service.
- Diagnose crashes and improve performance.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following processors only to the extent needed to operate the app:

Chat messages sent to AI providers are used solely to generate a response to you and are subject to those providers' data processing agreements.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your account information, learning activity, and chat history — see Account Deletion for details. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to the minimum necessary personnel.
Your Rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at finn.guo@icloud.com.
Children
vitutor is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
